A fingerprint is simple, personal, and completely unique. Bringing two together in silver creates something meaningful without overcomplicating it - a small, lasting reminder of connection.
The process starts with silver metal clay, made from fine silver particles mixed with a binder and water. It’s soft and workable, which makes it ideal for capturing the fine detail of a fingerprint.
Each piece begins as a hand-shaped form, gently worked into a heart. When it’s ready, both people press their fingerprints into the surface. One is placed first, then the second overlaps slightly. As they meet, the shape of a heart starts to appear - not perfectly symmetrical, but natural and true to the moment.

After the impressions are taken, the piece is refined by hand. The edges are smoothed and the shape is balanced, while taking care to keep every line of the fingerprints clear.
On the reverse, a soft texture is added. It’s subtle, but intentional - something you can feel when the piece is worn, adding another layer to the connection.
Once dry, the clay is fired in a kiln. The binder burns away and the silver particles fuse together, turning it into solid silver. The piece shrinks slightly in the process, but the detail remains.
Finally, it’s polished and finished. The surface is brought to a gentle shine, and the fingerprint lines are lightly darkened so they stand out.
What you’re left with is a silver heart formed from two overlapping fingerprints. It’s simple, but it holds meaning - something you can wear close, and something you can trace with your thumb when you want to feel that connection again.
