A Small Thank You: Moon & Star Pendant

This piece started with a person in mind.
A friend whose name means “moon,” and who has been helped me while building this website. The kind of person who shows up, helps quietly, and makes things feel a lot more possible.
So I wanted to make something simple, but meaningful.
The design is a crescent moon with a small raised star resting against it. The shapes are clean and gentle, with a soft curve that feels calm and balanced. There’s a small hole at the top so it can be worn as a pendant—something close to the heart, rather than tucked away.
"Small things, made with care, often carry the most meaning."
I made it using metal clay, shaping and refining it by hand. You can still see the subtle textures from that process, which I’ve kept intentionally-they give it a more organic, personal feel. It’s not overly polished or perfect, and that’s part of what I like about it.
There’s also a quiet nod in the design to her roots. The moon and star together carry a strong connection to Turkey, so it felt like a natural way to reflect both her name and where she comes from, without overcomplicating it.
This piece isn’t about making a statement. It’s just a small, thoughtful thank you-something that holds a bit of meaning in its shape and story.
And sometimes, that’s enough.
